I get a lot of positive feedback from my customers on my fishing gear. The reels that have proven reliable, smooth, and light weight for my guide service are the Daiwa Fuego and the Daiwa Tatula spinning reels. I have used Daiwa Spinning reels for over 25 years and they just keep getting better!

The Fuego is my work horse! It is relatively inexpensive at around 100 bucks and is a great reel for the price. The Tatula is double the price, but it will remain smooth longer and will outlast other reels in the same price range. My 8 Tatulas are generally used for Stripers, but with certain baits and techniques the Fuego is preferred, both reels have an excellent drag for fighting very large fish.

So, if you are in the market for a new spinning reel, I invite you to check them out at your local Daiwa dealer such as Hunters Gallery in Hamlin PA. I also provided a link from Cabela’s. Both models are currently in stock online at Cabelas.
