Susquehanna River Walleye can be super aggressive. But on this day in late february with clear water and 34-35 degree water temps they were far from aggressive. On days with bright sun and no wind I usually downsize and fish a bit more methodical. Fish at this time of year are generally prespawn and are usually pretty close to where they spent the winter months. When the bite is on they can be susceptible to over harvest so releasing these big females is critical to the success of the fishery!
