The steep cliffs that border parts of the river are simply breathtaking! Lake Wallenpaupack is a 13 mile long reservoir that was formed in the 1920s when a dam was constructed on Wallenpaupack Creek. Fishing, boating, and other water activities have become popular on this large impoundment. The area is littered with smaller lakes that also offer excellent opportunities for fishing. Frequent sightings of eagles, deer, mink and other wildlife only add to the ambiance in the Endless and Pocono Mountains!
